Today, however, what I want to focus on are avocados. To many the avocado is a strange fruit that, simply because of its green color, should never be eaten. I encourage this manner of thinking. For this only means more avocados for me. Because, in fact, the avocado is a magical fruit. Oh yes. I said magical. This is because avocados are the key ingredient in guacamole. While I would love avocados even if a small Aztec boy had not discovered how to make guacamole (http://tinyurl.com/dj3ezl), I do believe its fantastic, mouthwatering powers are quadrupled when combined with onions, garlic, tomatoes, etc. In fact, if I were order my last meal, I would, along with a Jersey Mike's sub sandwich and some California sushi rolls, and Waffle House sweet tea, request multiple servings of guacamole. As I said before, while avocados sans guacamole are delicious, making great additions to sandwiches and salads, it is the avocados gift of guacamole that makes them oh-so fantastic to me. So thank you little Aztec guy. I raise my chip to you.
